Nigerian musician David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has made a significant donation of N237 million to orphanages across Nigeria through his foundation, the David Adeleke Foundation (DAF).
In a statement accompanied by an image of the donation, Davido expressed his gratitude to those who generously contributed to the cause. He highlighted his long-standing desire to use his platform to serve others and thanked everyone who donated, emphasizing that their support is changing lives.
The funds, disbursed under the supervision of Mrs. Titi Adebayo, the chair of the DAF Disbursement Committee, have reached 424 orphanages, benefitting a total of 13,818 underprivileged children. This substantial contribution provides a ray of hope for these children, offering them opportunities for a better future.
The David Adeleke Foundation was established in 2022 with the aim of continuously uplifting others and creating a robust framework for ongoing charitable endeavors in Nigeria. Over the years, the foundation has achieved remarkable milestones, raising millions of Naira and effectively channeling the funds to numerous orphanages.
