Mr Femi Julius of Christ Reign Church, Ilorin, has admonished Nigerians, especially Christians, to support and give to the needy and the less privileged during Christmas celebration.
Julius, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Sunday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said Christians must learn to be generous as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
According to him, Christians are expected to be Christ like in their behaviour and as well embrace almsgiving.
“Remember to give out without discrimination as Jesus never discriminated against anyone.
“It is not only for you and your family to celebrate Christ indoor. Give out gifts to the needy among you irrespective of their religion or race.
“Extend gifts to the orphans, widows, neighbours, friends, family members and anybody around you,” he said.
The cleric also advised Christians not to be selfish and make people around them feel disconnected.
He added that Christ exemplified love and that His disciples must be ready to care for people around them.
