The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), Prof Ishaq Oloyede, has stated that the result claimed by Mmesoma Ejikeme is fake. Oloyede mentioned that if the details of the alleged forgery were revealed, it would shock Nigerians.
Ejikeme, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra State, has been accused of inflating her UTME score and falsely declaring herself as the top candidate for the exams. She shared a video on social media, asserting that her result is genuine and that she rightfully achieved a score of 362, as she has always been a brilliant student.
However, in an interview with Premium Times, the JAMB Registrar countered Ejikeme’s claims, stating that the result she presented as her own is actually the template for a student who took the UTME two years ago. Oloyede emphasized that the result she is parading is completely fake and that there are security features on JAMB results that can be used to verify their authenticity.
He further mentioned that if all the information they have is revealed, people would be shocked. Oloyede suggested that Ejikeme might be either a victim of deception or part of a syndicate involved in manufacturing purported JAMB results. He clarified that the claim of printing the result from the JAMB site is false and incorrect, as they can track everything printed from their system.
The JAMB Registrar’s statements challenge Ejikeme’s assertion of the legitimacy of her result, raising concerns about the authenticity of the claimed high UTME score.
