On Tuesday, the Nigerian Naira experienced an appreciation against the US dollar, trading at N791.42 at the Investors and Exporters window. This marks a 0.08% increase compared to the N792.04 rate at which it exchanged for the dollar on Monday.
The open indicative rate, which represents the reference rate for official transactions, closed at N779.50 to the dollar on Tuesday.
During the day’s trading, the spot exchange rate reached as high as N845 to the dollar before eventually settling at N791.42.
Conversely, the lowest rate at which the Naira was sold against the dollar on Tuesday was N730.
In total, $51.55 million was traded at the investors and exporters window on that day, indicating the volume of foreign exchange transactions in the market.
