Christopher Musa, the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has pledged to protect Nigeria’s peace by putting an end to the activities of terrorists, bandits, and criminal gangs. As the CDS, Musa assured Nigerians that the Armed Forces of Nigeria are highly professional and committed to their safety. He emphasized the military’s unwavering resolve to bring peace to the nation, warning criminals and those who doubt their determination to be prepared to face the consequences.
Musa vowed to fight diligently under his command to safeguard Nigeria’s security. He acknowledged that although welfare issues have been addressed, there is always room for improvement. He assured that the military will continue to prioritize the well-being of its personnel, providing them with the necessary support and resources. Musa stressed that a well-fed and cared-for soldier performs at their best, reinforcing the military’s commitment to fulfilling their duties.
