Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, widely known as Oladips, has issued a public apology for a recent death hoax orchestrated by his management. Expressing regret for the confusion caused, Oladips clarified that his illness was not a prank, emphasizing that he was genuinely unwell.
In a viral interview with Naija FM, Oladips took full responsibility for the false alarm and pledged to surround himself with professionals in the future. He sought forgiveness from his followers and assured them that he would not play with people’s emotions.
“To Nigerians and my core followers, I will never play with people’s emotions like that. It was never a prank. I was sick sick. I am really sorry for the confusion, the false alarm, and everything. I take full responsibility.”
The rapper acknowledged the challenges he has faced, including issues with his former manager, whom he accused of theft and wishing him dead. Oladips revealed that he had severed ties with his manager and emphasized the importance of being surrounded by professionals moving forward.
“I’ll make sure I’m surrounded by professionals going forward. Since I believe that’s where the issue originated. I’ve gone through a lot, like having my manager steal from me and wish me dead. I eventually reached the point where my manager was no longer with me. It was just me and my boys.”
Oladips attributed the misbehavior of his former manager to a lack of professionalism and expressed remorse for the entire incident.
“That is why I said I take full responsibility. So, I’m really sorry. Make una forgive me abeg.”
The rapper’s apology comes as an effort to clear the air and address the confusion created by the death hoax, assuring fans that he is focused on ensuring a more professional and transparent approach in the future.
